This Privacy Policy explains how Stanly Team ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Stanly application and related services (the "Services").
A. Information you provide to us
- Account information: name, username, email address.
- Customer support: information you include in support messages (such as requests, issue reports, and attachments you choose to send).
- Plant profile content: photos, species details, watering frequency, care notes, and other content you enter into the App.
B. Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, app version, identifiers where available, and network information.
- Usage data and analytics: interactions with features, in-app events, approximate timestamps, and performance metrics.
- Crash logs and diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, and troubleshooting data.
- Location (only if you allow it): precise or approximate location derived from GPS, Wi‑Fi, or device settings, depending on your permission and device capabilities.
C. Cookies, similar technologies, and web beacons
If parts of the Services are provided through web-based views or a website, we may use cookies or similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and improve reliability and security.
2) How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain the Services (accounts, plant profiles, reminders/notifications).
- Personalize your experience (preferences and organization).
- Improve the Services (analytics, debugging, reliability).
- Support you and communicate with you.
- Protect safety, security, and integrity (fraud/abuse prevention).
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
3) Notifications and reminders
Stanly may send notifications (e.g., watering or feeding reminders). You can control notifications through your device settings and, where available, in-app settings.
4) Photos, face data, and biometrics
- No face recognition / biometrics: we do not perform face recognition and do not create biometric identifiers.
- No marketing or training use: we do not use your photos for advertising/marketing, and we do not use your photos to train models for third parties.
- Storage: by default, photos and plant records are stored locally on your device unless you choose features that require uploading or syncing.
- One-time processing: if a feature requires processing an image, we process it for the requested result and do not retain it longer than necessary.
5) Optional AI-powered features (if available and if you choose to use them)
Some features may be described as "AI" or may involve automated analysis or generation based on text or images you provide (for example, creating a plant card design, organizing notes, or generating suggested care content).
If you use such features:
- Processing location: inputs you choose to upload are processed on Stanly Team controlled servers to generate the requested output.
- No third-party sharing for processing: we do not share your uploaded text/images with any third party for AI processing.
- Deletion after processing: after the output is generated and delivered to you, uploaded inputs and intermediate processing data are deleted promptly.
- User control: you control whether to upload content and whether to generate AI outputs.
6) How we share information
We may share information only in these situations, and only to the minimum extent necessary:
- With your consent.
- With service providers (processors) under contracts that require protection of data and use only under our instructions.
- For legal reasons (to comply with law, legal process, or requests).
- To protect rights and safety (fraud, security, abuse investigations).
- Business transfers (merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets).
7) International data transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
8) Data security
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including:
- Encryption in transit and, where applicable, at rest.
- Access controls and least-privilege practices.
- Regular security reviews and audits.
- Backups and recovery procedures.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9) Data retention
- Account data: retained for the duration of your account.
- After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless required for legal or security reasons.
- Usage analytics: up to 12 months.
- Support communications: up to 6 months.
10) Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent where applicable.

11) Children and age requirement

13) Disputes
Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration as described in our Terms of Service/User Agreement, and governed by the laws of our principal place of business, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
