1) Eligibility (Age 17+)

The Services are intended for users age 17 and older. By using the Services, you represent that you are at least 17 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2) Your account

  • You may need an account to use certain features.
  • You agree to provide accurate information (such as name/username/email) and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly of any unauthorized use or security breach.

3) The Services

Stanly helps you organize indoor plant care through plant profiles, reminders/notifications, and sharing tools such as plant cards. Features may change over time; we may add, remove, or modify features to improve the Services.

4) User Content

"User Content" means content you submit, upload, create, or store through the Services, such as plant photos, species details, watering frequency, and care notes.

  • Ownership: you retain ownership of your User Content.
  • License to operate the Services: you grant Stanly Team a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, and display your User Content solely to provide, maintain, and improve the Services (for example, to display your plant profiles, generate plant cards you request, and troubleshoot issues).
  • Sharing: if you choose to share content, you are responsible for what you share and with whom you share it.

5) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
  • Upload content that infringes another person’s rights (including intellectual property or privacy rights).
  • Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt our systems or other users’ accounts.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law.
  • Use automated means to scrape or misuse the Services.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or used the Services in a way that could harm users, the public, or the Services.

6) Third-party services and links

The Services may enable integrations with third-party services (for example, social platforms you choose to share to). Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that our Privacy Policy applies.

8) Intellectual property

Except for User Content, the Services and all related intellectual property (including software, designs, logos, and content provided by us) are owned by Stanly Team or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

9) Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stanly Team disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Stanly provides plant care organization and reminder tools. It is not a substitute for professional horticultural advice. You are responsible for how you care for your plants and for interpreting any suggestions or reminders.

10) Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STANLY TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STANLY TEAM’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO STANLY TEAM FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM (OR, IF YOU PAID NOTHING, USD $10).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stanly Team from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms, including claims related to your User Content.

12) Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Services and users. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will end.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Stanly Team’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

14) Binding arbitration

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

You and Stanly Team agree to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services through final and binding arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent actual or threatened infringement, misuse, or violation of intellectual property rights or to address urgent security issues.

The arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis. Class arbitrations and class actions are not permitted.

The arbitration will be conducted in English by a neutral arbitrator, under rules that provide for a fair hearing and written decision. The arbitrator may award any relief that a court could award on an individual basis.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the Effective Date above when changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
